3D Winter Scene

Description: For this lesson we created 3D scenes for each season. Each table group was assigned a season and was then asked to create a 3D scene for that season. At the beginning of the lesson we learned about scale and what it means if an object is to scale with another. This came into play when creating our projects because we needed to create a background, foreground, and focal point of our scene. My table group was given the season of winter, so I decided to create a cup of hot chocolate, sitting on a table, that over looks a window to the snowy outside. I really love how this turned out, it was a super fun activity and is a great way to teach students about scale and perspective.  Extension Activity:  Instead of using this 3D scene project to create season landscapes, I think it would be fun to use when learning about animals and habitats. Students could either choose or be given an animal to be the focal point of their scene. They then must create the rest of the given...
